What data we collect
We only collect data you give us or that is needed to run the website:
- Contact details you enter in our forms: name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, property address and your message.
- Messages you send us via WhatsApp, email or phone.
- If you accept cookies: anonymous usage data such as pages visited, approximate location (country/city), device type and how you found our website.
- Your language and currency preference, stored only in your own browser.
Why we use your data
- To answer your questions and inquiries about properties.
- To provide our services: valuations, buying, selling, renting and property management.
- To meet our legal obligations, including identification and record-keeping duties under Curaçao's anti-money-laundering rules when a transaction takes place.
- With your consent, to understand how visitors use the website so we can improve it.
We never sell your personal data and we do not use it for unsolicited marketing.
Services we use
To run the website and our business we use trusted service providers, who only process data on our behalf:
- Netlify: website hosting.
- Airtable: secure storage of listings and inquiries.
- Google (Gmail and Google Analytics): email and, only with your consent, website statistics.
- WhatsApp (Meta): when you choose to contact us via WhatsApp.
Some of these providers store data outside Curaçao, for example in the United States or the European Union. They are bound by their own strict security and privacy standards.
Cookies
Our website only places analytics cookies (from Google Analytics, such as _ga) after you click Accept in the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. Your language and currency choice is stored in your browser so you don't have to choose again; this is not used for tracking.
You can change your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
How long we keep your data
We keep inquiries for as long as needed to help you, and no longer than two years after our last contact, unless you become a client. Client and transaction records are kept for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
You may ask us at any time to see, correct or delete your personal data, to stop using it, or to withdraw your consent. Email us at turcuracaorealty@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Security
We protect your data with secure (HTTPS) connections, access restricted to people who need it, and providers that meet high security standards.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page.
We handle personal data in line with Curaçao's data protection legislation and, where it applies to visitors from the European Union, the GDPR.
